Categories:
Welcome to the sixth in the series of nine festive fun questions that we are asking members of our team. Today is the turn Clothing Sales Assistant Sophie. We also ask Sophie what would be her dream Christmas gift if she could choose anything from our extensive range of cookware and kitchen electricals. Name: Sophie Chatfield Role: Clothing Sales Assistant Festive persona: Just call me Mrs Christmas! What would be your dream gift and why? I am currently having an extension built at home to give us a slightly bigger kitchen. I've been waiting for the new kitchen for some time now and I promised myself some utensils, as I am still using my boyfriend's old utensils from his bachelor days. I have been eyeing up the Joseph Joseph Elevate 6 Piece Opal Carousel Set, which will fit in nicely with my duck egg blue/cream theme.
10 Christmas Questions
Q: Christmas jumpers… yes or no? A: Absolutely YES! The more tacky and flashy the better! Q: Favourite Christmas song? A: Step Into Christmas by Elton John. It always makes me want to do a little Christmas jig. Q: Favourite Christmas Movie? A: Elf! I'm a sucker for a Will Ferrell movie. Q: What’s your first memory of Christmas? A: I've always been a bit lucky and had two Christmases. I'd start by waking up at Mum's house for a festive breakfast then open our presents before sitting down to a lovely roast turkey dinner. Then later in the afternoon I'd head off to my Dad's house for Christmas round 2. Q: Brussels sprouts… yes or no? A: Only at Christmas. Q: What’s on the top of your tree? A: A gold star. Q: Post-Christmas dinner activity? A: A walk with the dog then silly games with all the family afterwards. Q: What is your favourite Christmas tradition? A: Spending Christmas Day with lots of the family and eating good food and drink. Having a bit of rare quality time with everyone. Q: Favourite Christmas food? A: Chocolate log. My mum has always made one and let me help decorate it. Q: When you were young, what was the one present you always asked for, but never received?A: I used to love Sylvanian Families, so I imagine it was the biggest one in the toy catalogue.
More about Joseph Joseph
Twin brothers Antony and Richard Joseph joined forces in 2003 to launch Joseph Joseph with the aim of creating functional, problem-solving household products. As far back as they can remember, the brothers have always been fascinated by design, having grown up in a family manufacturing business. From a young age, they were building and designing products in a workshop at home and this passion continued through their university years and then into their early careers as product designers. The company started out relatively small with only a handful of products in its first collection. One item that stood out was a simple glass chopping board. The functional, hygienic nature of this board shifted their focus towards designing everyday products with a core problem-solving approach. Other key areas of the kitchen were looked at and they soon found many products just weren’t performing as well as they could. The multi-award winning brand now includes innovative and functional cleaning tools and waste management products. View the full Joseph Joseph range on our website >
